Stephanie has over 18 years of experience in the health and wellness field. She has served as the Health Promotion Coordinator for the City of Ames since February 2005. Her previous professional experiences include positions in work-hardening and conditioning, school-based employee wellness, corporate health promotion, and as an adjunct faculty member.
Stephanie serves as an Intrinsic Coach® Mentor for Totally Coached, Inc. She completed her undergraduate degree at Iowa State University in Exercise Science and holds a Masters degree in Health Promotion with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Nebraska Methodist College. In addition, she serves as co-chair of the Health Promotion Advisory Board at Grand View College and is a member of the Story County Healthy Lifestyles Taskforce.
Stephanie’s passion has always been working with people. She believes everyone should embrace their uniqueness and unleash the potential within to live life to it’s fullest. Having used various methods over the course of 15 years, Intrinsic Coaching® was the first methodology Stephanie found that truly enabled her to make her passion a reality. Intrinsic Coaching® provided the missing link in working with people: learning to work with the whole person to create outcomes that were most important to them. Now it is Stephanie’s dream to take this gift and “pay it forward” to build healthier communities through healthy people and healthy organizations!
As a mother of three energetic little boys and the wife of a high school teacher and coach, Stephanie has learned to practice what she preaches in leading a healthy and balanced life. She is ever amazed and grateful for the continued learning and guidance her life experiences provide. Stephanie is an Intrinsic Coach®, wellness consultant, and enthusiastic presenter on various health and wellness topics. She spends her leisure time with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, participating in recreation leagues and messing in home projects.
